There is a void now in my life,

and Im not talking about my x-wife;

There is an empty bowl,

and its taking it toll,

There is a void now in my life.

Patrolling the house, during the day,

She caught a mouse, what can I say?

My cat is all gone,

How can I move on,

No one left now for me to play!

She was my alarm clock, always on time!

She was my play pale, she did just fine!

She was made of, bundles of love,

These were her traits,

that was no crime!

I find myself now:

Late for work, Late for school,

Late for the morning,

Late as a fool!

I find the house now:

Empty of playfulness, empty of fur,

Empty of gracefulness, empty of her!

I find my heart now:

Missing the love, feeling the pitty,

Missing the sweetness, missing my kitty!

It's morning now, she lay on my chest, Dreaming of sugarplums, I lay at rest,

She would wake me on time,

Without reason or rhyme,

Not wanting to rise, I would detest.

With a flick of her claw, and a pat of her paw,

I opened my eyes, and I did saw,

A little kitty on me,

Smiling with glee,

Time to get up now, that was the law!

I would climb out of bed, Kitty following after,

I walk through the kitchen, she follows faster,

Rubbing against me,

Happy as can be,

The house fills with laughter.

I found myself then:

On time for work, On time for school,

On time in the morning, Not such a fool!

It's afternoon now, She's chasing the ball,

She's coming back now, without even a call!

She's playing fetch with me,

Just look and see,

She's coming back now, down the hall.

Hide and Seek was her favorite, we played it allot!

Running and running, until her, I got.

I would turn and run,

It was so much fun,

Her place was under the cot!

I'd run through the room, and go through the door,

I'd make a kitty noise, calling her for more,

With a quick flash,

she would just dash

into the room - she would soar!

I found the house then:

Full of playfulness, full of fur

Full of gracefulness, full of her

It's evening now, She lay on my lap

Purring so softly, ready to nap.

My arm in her sight,

A soft little bite,

Static electricity from her nose, it would zap!

The bite was for love, that was her way,

All night on my bed, she would just lay.

Purring and stretching,

Not running and fetching

As I drifted off to sleep, awaiting the day...

I'll miss my little kitty, she was hit by a car,

I can still see her shining, as an evening star.

Around her neck I did gave,

Her collar, I would save,

My heart was damaged, an invisible scar.

I found my heart then:

Full of love, empty of pity,

Full of sweetness, I had my kitty!
